Fish, Dragons and Hexes on Hanover Ave.

This couple has a fun vibe that we were able to tap into to enhance their decor. At the entry, we added wainscoting at the entry up the stairs and a graphic wallpaper, Hicks’ Hexagon, above the rail. A  historic salvaged newel post was installed at the bottom of the stairs and a few spindles were removed to highlight it. The homeowners liked their sofa, coffee table and wallpaper, but were looking to brighten the space. A colorful rug, fun chairs, artwork, lighting and accent pillows were added to give it a pop. The pillow fabric is repeated in the new dining room window treatments, where some fun sconces replaced the dated fixtures. We went all in to create a vibrant powder room with wallpaper, bold trim paint and a new mirror and lighting. The home really captures the vibrant personality of the homeowners, while also being a great space to settle in for a bit.
