Each space Stephanie designs is as unique as the homeowners who live there.

Stephanie strives to create spaces that reflect the homeowner's point of view while maximizing the functionality of the space. She approaches each project with careful consideration of the client's aesthetic, needs, and budget as well as the home's architectural style, light exposure, and design details. No two projects are alike.

About Stephanie

Stephanie founded Modern Traditions Interior Design, LLC in 2012. As the daughter of a general contractor, Stephanie began painting and wallpapering at the age of 14 and spent her first year after college as the construction site manager at New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity and dedicated many years to affordable housing in New Orleans and Washington, DC. After renovating her 100+ year old Richmond row house into a home for her family, she completed her Certificate of Design at University of Richmond in 2011 and started Modern Traditions Interior Design, LLC the following year.

“Stephanie was so great to work with. She listens and works with your tastes and interests. She helped me redesign my den, helping me pick out furniture, the rug, paint color and drapes. Most importantly, I love how it turned out and it was so much fun to work with her!”
